This is a museum quality vintage Hopi all silver necklace made by none other than the famous and extremely talented Bernard Dawahoya! Bernard is a legend in Hopi silversmithing and if you look in any Hopi jewelry book you'll find that he is one of the most mentioned names in the book as he is extremely famous. Dawahoya even worked for a Hopi crafts and was a teacher and a mentor to many modern day famous Hopi artists. This particular piece contains a huge hand carved dancing kachina pendant. This is the largest necklace we have seen by Bernard yet. The necklace is incredibly hand carved and contains an old Hopi handmade link chain. The magnificent silver pendant measures a mind blowing 3-1/8" X 1-3/8". Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Hopi artist, Bernard Dawahoya. The length of the necklace measures around 23".
