A superior vintage Navajo silver buckle. This scalloped oval shape belt buckle has several impressive, distinct characteristics to it. First of all, the coloration of these three Pilot Mountain turquoise stones is simply striking! The center stone is rectangular in shape, while the two on either side are half-ovals. The stones are separated with a fine strip of silver rope and then five concentric circles of silver shapes and design emerge from the center. They're circles of silver rope, hand stamped sunrises, another silver rope band, 3D silver crescent moons and then the spaced stamped silver stars! All have come together in perfect synergy to accent these gorgeous turquoise stones. This convex surface buckle will fit belts 1-1/4" or less. The center stone measures around 1-3/16" x 7/8". Sterling silver. Signed by Navajo artist, J. Williams . The buckle measures around 3-1/2" x 2-1/4". Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 52 grams.
